Eliot Bagen Dempsey
President and founder -The Dempsey Law Firm
I opened this law firm so that I could provide the kind of service and connection that my clients want, need, and deserve. I try to create a relationship with my clients as a trusted and reliable advisor. Once you sign with the firm for any matter, it’s my goal that you seek our counsel on all important matters thereafter.
In representing your interests, I practice with the utmost professionalism and respect. I'm detail oriented, I place a premium on producing quality work and my sole purpose is to produce results and an experience that you, the client, will be happy with.
I began my legal career working for a well respected insurance defense firm in Fort Lauderdale, I've spent time as counsel for insurance companies in both the automobile and first party property and homeowners’ insurance world in Miami, and I’ve been a Plaintiff’s lawyer in First Party Property and Homeowners’ Insurance Litigation, Personal Injury, and PIP. I’ve represented small businesses and individuals across the state of Florida in various types of civil litigation and in doing so have conducted thousands of depositions, attended thousands of hearings, and represented my clients at every level of litigation up to and including trial.
In recent years, my practice has grown to meet a need I kept seeing among Florida homeowners: fair and affordable representation against the homeowners associations and condominium associations. From my days in the property damage world and my time helping homeowners and condo owners, I saw a real need for the same kind of caring and cost efficient guidance in construction defects cases and contractor disputes. I represent homeowners and condo unit owners in fights over fines, selective enforcement, board misconduct, and the special assessments many associations are now imposing under Florida's post-Surfside condo safety reforms. I also represent property owners pursuing contractors and builders for construction defects through Florida's Chapter 558 notice-and-cure process. And, unfortunately living in Florida comes with the risk of hurricane and storm damage, so I am still happily representing homeowners against their insurance companies in property damage claims and litigation.
When I'm not diligently representing my client's interests, I'm at home with my adorable daughter, my girlfriend, and my dogs.
I'm available for a free consultation by phone or email, and one of our ten offices across the state by appointment only, which you can schedule by filling out the form below or calling our office.
